At TEDxBloomington, we believe in the power of ideas to change the world. Our mission is to create a local platform for sharing transformative ideas, fostering connections, and inspiring action within the Bloomington community and beyond. We are part of the global TEDx network, dedicated to spreading ideas through independently organized events.

Our Story

TEDxBloomington was founded with a vision to bring the spirit of TED’s mission of “ideas worth spreading” to Bloomington. Since our inception, we have been committed to organizing events that bring together a diverse group of speakers and attendees. Our events are designed to spark deep discussions, inspire new ways of thinking, and build a community of curious, open-minded individuals who are passionate about making a difference.

What is TEDx? – In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.Our event is called TEDxBloomington, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxBloomington event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
